Sangria

Everyone needs a little something to sip on, whether you’re taking a splash in the pool, or hosting a backyard barbecue. This recipe is sure to wow.

Ingredients

1/2 cup brandy
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup lemonade (such as Simply Lemonade)
1/3 cup orange juice
1 (750 ml.) bottle dry red wine
1/2 cup triple sec
1 lemon, sliced into rounds
1 orange, sliced into rounds
1 lime, sliced into rounds
1/4 cup white sugar (optional)
2 cups carbonated water (optional), or ginger ale

Method

In a large pitcher or bowl, mix together the brandy, lemon juice, lemonade, orange juice, red wine, triple sec, and sugar. Float slices of lemon, orange and lime in the mixture. Refrigerate at least overnight, or up-to two days.

For a fizzy sangria, add club soda (or ginger ale) just before serving.

You can get creative with the fruits, and add berries, apple slices, grapes, even mangoes and kiwis.
