Service Technician (Stoves, Fireplaces, Spas)

The Service Department at Mountain Home Center repairs and maintains Stoves, Fireplaces and Spas. Prior service/technical experience preferred. Driving is an integral part of this position. A clean driving record is required.

Candidates must be energetic, dress and act in a professional manner, enjoy working in a team environment and be able to classify work as a top priority.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Basic troubleshooting and repair knowledge
  • Clean and Balance water in spas as well as cleaning filters
  • Clean cover and outside of spas
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. regularly
  • Willing to work outdoors year round in all weather
  • Climb ladders and walk on slippery or uneven surface
  • Ability to work productively with limited supervision
  • Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment when dealing with difficult situations
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with hand tools multi meter
  • Knowledge of electricity

Warehouse and Delivery Team Members 

This position is responsible for delivering products sold by Mountain Home Center


  • Pulling Daily Route Sheets and Orders
  • Driving company vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Doing vehicle checklist every week
  • Performing safety checks on vehicles
  • Maintain delivery vehicles for cleanliness
  • Loading and securing MHC inventory for delivery
  • Deliver product to customers and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Protect and maintain MHC inventory
  • Communicate professionally with customers & coworkers, including calling customers before & after deliveries
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Assemble and touch up MHC Products/Inventory


  • Helps maintain all MHC property, including occasional building & grounds repairs/maintenance
  • Dump Runs
  • Snow Removal from property
  • Any other projects/tasks deemed necessary to meet the company’s goals


  • Strong attention to detail/accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills – ability to use computerized time tracking system, email & proprietary software
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, stay on task
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment at customers’ home
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner

  • Ability to coordinate with many people in multiple departments
  • Basic use of small tools & safety equipment

  • Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs. occasionally, 50 lbs. regularly

  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary
