Truckee’s Best Steak Recipe by John Henry
Select the best cut of meat to accomplish this feast, a choice rib eye is my recommendation. Marinate to perfection and cook until you get it the way you like it. My, oh my! You won’t believe how good it is.
Ingredients:
2- 12 to 14 oz. Rib eyes, strip sirloin, filet mignon or t-bone steak
2 tsp. Mojave Garlic Pepper Rub Seasoning (or your choice)
1- 16 oz. Jar Cuz’n Buddy’s Marinade
Method:
Brush marinade on both sides of steak, sprinkle rub seasoning on both sides. Marinate in plastic bag or sealed container for 4 hours, or overnight in the refrigerator.
Heat your grill or cast iron skillet until it’s hot, sear steak on both sides for about 3 to 4 minutes. Turn off one side of the grill and place steaks on that side to cook using indirect heat. Reduce heat on the other side and cook to your preferred doneness.
